“Riccardo Pisani has an ideal voice for this music and he’s very well supported by the members of Ricercare Antico.”

“Both the tenor Riccardo Pisani and the musicians of ‘Ricercare Antico’ make this a very attractive release. Pisani’s voice sounds full and warm, with a clear and light articulation, which allows very natural coloratura. He creates an individual, dramatic character for each song, and yet the Affetto is never exaggerated.”

Clic Musique

American Record Guide

“Tenor Riccardo Pisani is certainly up to the task of adapting the richness, timbre, and scale of his voice to suit the full ensemble pieces as well as ones with just one instrument […] leading into the first of two versions of Caccini’s
best known song, ‘Amarilli, Mia Bella’. Here the singer is in charge and the words are expressed with a fine combination of delicacy, intensity, and tempo fluctuation.”

C. Moore

“Italian tenor Riccardo Pisani is an impressive interpreter of the music and, of course, the texts. “
